Iwueke Foundation Visits Motherless Babies Homes In Imo

Comfort iwueke foundation visited motherless babies homes and distrubuted essential items to widows, aged, physically challenged and less privilege, people living with HIV and AIDS and the vulnerable Children in Imo State on the 4th, 6th, and 7th of April 2013.
The C.E.O of comfort Iwueke foundation, Lady Ebere Iwueke said that the programme was slated to mark the memorial of late Mrs comfort Iwueke aged 95 from Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State. She added that the late Mrs Comfort Iwueke intends to touch the lives of the less privileged and dependants in the society, and the foundation was established to continue her goods works.
The programme officer, Mr Chigozie Iwueke and the Secretary of the Foundation, Mr Kinsley Ibekwe stated the foundation was initiated among other objectives to empower the youths, help people living with HIV and AIDs, Aged and Less privileged individuals of the society; through community development projects, seminars etc.
The foundation visited the Nigerian Red Cross Motherless babies home, Owerri and also, the Widows, Aged, physically Challenged and Less Privileged individuals from selected villages from various communities and local government area in Imo state. The coordinator of the Nigerian Red Cross Motherless babies home thanked the foundation for the essential items and recalled a similar gesture by the foundation last year when they had nothing to take care of the children in their custody only for the CEO of Comfort Iwueke Foundation who miraculously came to their rescue with a donation (cheque) that was quickly used to procure food items for their inmates. Among the recipients of the items was an aged woman Mrs Priscilia.E. who could not curtail her joy with tears, thanked the foundation for being a blessing to her community.
Representatives of the family of late Mrs comfort Iwueke who graced the occasion include, Chief Lawson Iwueke, Mr Obioma Iwueke, Lady Eugenia Nwankwo, Mr Obioma Iwueke, Mr jimmy Iwueke, Mrs Mabel Ogbonna, Mrs Alice Achejuba, Sir Dr Obinna Iwueke, Uzoma Iwueke, Chukwudi Iwueke, Chigozie Iwueke, among others.
The week long programme ended with a thanksgiving service in honour of late Mrs comfort Iwueke at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Obazu Mbieri in Imo state.
