The executive governor of Imo state, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha on behalf of the good people of the state sympathize with the government and people of Kano state and families of those that lost their lives and properties in the recent bomb blast at Kano motor park.
The attack is not only barbaric but utterly evil, callous, condemnable and does not in any form reflect our belief and culture.
To this effect, the state government has put the security agencies on red alert to forestall any form of reprisal attack.
The general public are therefore enjoin to discountenance the rumor of reprisal attack making rounds in some quarters and go about their lawful engagements without any fear as their security is well guaranteed.
We also wish to reassure the entire people of the state including our brothers and sisters from the northern part of the country that government has put in place the necessary security measures for adequate protection of lives and property, and will not hesitate to deal ruthlessly with anyone that may hide under whatever guise to perpetrate crime in the state.
