According to credible sources within the Army fold, two of the soldiers not only refused to engage in the burning and looting but complained that such acts were unfair to the people.

Oblivious of the fact that they were being watched and monitored, the attitude and statements of the two soldiers who disliked the Eke Ututu market mayhem were reported to their superiors who began withchunt for them.

While one was said to have been eliminated as his presence ceased to exist within the Obinze barracks and in their Army units, the other wanted one on sensing danger went underground to escape being killed before a manhunt for him was seriously launched.
