There are strong indications that the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and his Rebuild Imo Political Group are on their way to the Labour Party.
Ihedioha who was once governor of Imo State for seven months using PDP platform dumped the umbrella party without specifying where next.
The surprise exit of Ihedioha from party didn’t come as a big surprise as he also left with majority of his sympathisers and loyalists under the Rebuild Imo Political Group.
Since leaving PDP, tongues have been wagging on what next for the Mbaise born politician as some parties were reported to be inviting him to be in their fold.
But the way foward for him and followers is becoming clearer as he is suspected to be hobnobbing with the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, suggesting that he is on his way to the party.
Trumpeta learnt that in the past few weeks, Ihedioha’s pictures with Obi have been swelling posts in the social media suggesting he may have been negotiating to join labour party.
Except a change of program, the movement will be concluded next month
