.Insists Guber Victory Already Assured
The Sole Administrator SOLAD, for Njaba Local Government Area, Hon Vitalis Ugochukwu Obi “Etiokwe Erieokwe” has extolled His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo state, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodinma “Onwa Ndi Imo” for his youth oriented Programme including the empowerment of Imo youths through sports (football).
The SOLAD who made this commendation in a chart with Trumpeta Sports desk shortly after the kick off ceremony of the Imo Governors Unity Cup in Nnenasa, Njaba LGA urged the players of the various Wards to take advantage of the competition to express their talents as scouts from the state and national level would be hunting for players during the games.
He thanked the Governor for creating the programme that not only unites the various communities in all the 27 LGA’s advising the youths on the need to shun social vices and any form of restiveness that can jeopardize their future.
Etiokwe as he is fondly called also urged youths of Njaba and beyond to ensure that their votes are cast for Sen Uzodinma’s reelection in other to sustain and continue all true dividends of democracy as displayed by the very pragmatic, dynamic and citizen friendly Governor.
While advising the players, managers, coaches and fans on the need to ensure that the games are played in a friendly manner, Etiokwe noted that grassroots soccer is the way to harnessing the young talents and that it is the reason Gov Uzodinma instituted the Gov’s Unity Cup for talent hunt and empowering the youths whom he said can become the next Sam Okwaraji, Mobi Oparaku, Uche Okafor among many other Imolites who have excelled in football and other sports.
“We at Njaba are delighted with His Excellency for initiating this wonderful platform for our youths to show case our talent.
“In Njaba, we have always take sports (football) development as a keep point for engaging our youths meaningful and the Governor’s Unity Cup will help us further to ensure we enhance what we have been doing.
“If you recall, the likes of Sam Okwaraji our late hero, Mobi Oparaku among others started from the grassroots like this, so I urge you to be determined and optimistic as your talent can guarantee you a brighter future with discipline.
“His Excellency’s love for the youths among other signature projects of the Shared Prosperity/3R Administration is the reason why we all should turn out en mass to reelect the working Governor, Sen Hope Uzodinma come November 11, 2023 Governorship Election.
