After two of Heartland’s players, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu and Jolly Osas joined the League of responsible men, Abdul Haruna has also decided to join the league.
The Lanky striker will be walking the isle with his sweetheart, Surayya Abubakar on December 22.
The wedding scheduled for the Aliyu Bin Abutalif Dangi Mosque,Kanois the culmination of three-year courtship between the duos.
Haruna was excused from his sides charity cup clash against domestic champions, Kano Pillars on Thursday in PortHarcourt as well as the Copa Lagos competition to prepare for the august ceremony.
It would be recalled that Ibenegbu and Osas both just concluded the marriage rights of their long time heartthrobs inEnuguandBeninrespectively.
“I’m wedding my sweetheart, Surayya on December 22 inKano. It’s a dream come true for me and I believe the outcome of the event will go a long way to shape positively my future career as a footballer.
“Already, my club has given me some days off to focus on the wedding. This is to enable me have an undivided attention on my forthcoming wedding the same as the Copa Lagos competition as I’ll focus on my game”, said Haruna.
Haruna who recently put pen to paper for a new contract with the Naze Millionaires for the 2012/13 Nigerian Premier League Season(NPL), was vital in Heartlands back-to-back win of the Federation Cup at the expense of Lobi Stars of Markudi who they piped 2-1 in Lagos earlier this year.
