Mbieri Boils Over Demolition of Anglican Church Building .Community Demands Intervention of Owerri Diocese

Except the authorities of the Owerri Anglican communion intervene, trouble is looming in Obazu Mbieri where people of the community are kicking against the demolition of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Obazu Mbieri.
Trumpeta was informed that tension is high in the entire community of Obazu Mbieri  in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, following the demolition of the age ling HTC Obazu, many of the residents claim served as historical monument and artifacts in the community.
According to one of the community members and an Anglican Church member, the demolished Church building is a relic to their children and unborn generation which is not only instructive, but educative and archeological of behold.
This newspaper gathered from the lamenting people of Obazu Mbieri that an Anglican Reverend and the Vicar incharge (name withheld), allegedly without consultation or recourse to majority of the Church PCC members, congregation  of the substituting Building Committee chaired by Prof Cona Anosike undertook the demolition.
Prof Cona Anosike in a post confirmed the development in his Facebook page when he added that the “action is an affront and usurpation of function by the Archdeacon”.
He continued “there is growing tension, disaffection and disharmony among the people of HTC Obazu Mbieri and the host community Obazu Mbieri who erected the edifice may decades ago and this snowball into unimaginable showdown if not nipped in the bud by the stakeholders.
Trumpeta further gathered that the community is boiling and on the verge of witnessing disturbances except intervention comes from the Anglican Church.
