Despite the presence of who is who in the political field of the state and beyond at the one year in office event of Governor Hope Uzodinma, the absence of federal lawmakers and Senators of Imo APC was conspicuous.
At the event on Monday which saw the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and several classy politicians in Owerri, Trumpeta noticed the absence of the Senators and Reps members of Imo extraction at the event.
What however attracted attention of Imolites was that while federal lawmakers from other parts of the country came, those representing the federal constituencies were conspicuously absent.
Trumpeta recalls that APC has one Senator in former governor Rochas Okorocha alongside four lawmakers of the House of Reps. The lawmakers are former Deputy Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Ugonna Ozuruigbo, Honourables Paschal Obi, Hon Kingsley Uju, and Mirian Onuoha.
Their absence appeared more like a calculated attempt to shun the Governor’s event.
