Lawmaker, Ugboma Risks Suspension Over Comments Against Speaker On Vehicle Donation

The lawmaker representing Oguta LGA on Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Frank Ugboma is risking suspension for allegedly misquoting the expressions of the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Collins Chiji on issue of vehicle donation to Imo government officials by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Trumpeta learnt that what the lawmaker said after a tabloid in Owerri had written on the matter is at variance with the statements made by at the event.
Sources close to the speaker revealed that his office has regretted why the lawmaker from Oguta who is the deputy minority leader of the house should rely on false information and without proper verification sponsor a write up only meant to besmirch the hard won integrity of the number one lawmaker in Imo.
The side of the Speaker was disappointed how Ugboma would twist a report just to turn things upside down in the state and gain favour from his suspected sponsors.
Ugboma, according to a report carried by this newspaper in the last edition it was learnt embarrassed Mr Speaker. Chiji’s office is of the view that Ugboma’s outburst was unnecessary as it was only targeted at gaining undeserved from Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha the immediate past governor of the state.
Eye witnesses account according to our reporter was that speaker Chiji Collins never mentioned Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha when he was speaking on Governor Hope Uzodinma’s car donations to his appointees, contrary to the wrong impression created by Hon Frank Ugboma in his reaction.
Ugboma is in trouble as the lawmakers are said to be aggrieved by his hasty outbursts who have started accusing him of alleged “mouth diarrhea “over affairs concerning the state legislature.
Trumpeta learnt that before the House went on break, the Oguta lawmaker escaped suspension hammer by whiskers after he allegedly went on air to make certain scathing remarks against the house leadership especially the Speaker.
This newspaper learnt that Ugboma had escaped suspension the last time, he may not be free after this statement against the Speaker who didn’t mention anybody’s name why talking about the car donation.
Already aggrieved lawmakers opposed to Ugboma’ s reaction are reported to be ganging up to ensure Mr Speaker reconvenes the House to enable them move for the suspension of the PDP lawmaker
