There are indications that the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma may rejig his administration by making some changes that will re-energize his Government into full speed.
Trumpeta learnt that the Governor is not too happy with the happenings around most Ministries and Local Government Areas in the State in terms of performances.
On Tuesday, the Governor had an Expanded Executive Council Meeting, first of its kind since he assumed office, where it was said he cautioned some of his Aides to be careful.
Trumpeta gathered that worried the Governor could be as a result of some of the ugly stories emanating how some of his Aides are fighting each over clash of duties or office spaces.
This Newspaper learnt that also disturbing the Governor is the activities of some of those he appointed to man the various Local Government Areas in the State.
In the case of his Executive, some of the Commissioners, it was learnt, have been at daggers drawn posture with their lower ranking colleagues like Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants to the Governor.
Trumpeta learnt that due to some of the Ministries that have too many appointees, there have been at war, as the Commissioners fight the Special Advisers SAs, over juicy contracts or control of parastatals in the various Ministries.
A source told Trumpeta that in some cases, Commissioners are not in talking terms with their SAs, and Senior Special Assistants, SSAs in the Ministries.
These, sources said worries the Governor as it could cause delay in deliverance of services to the people due to lack of synergy.
Also worrying the Governor is the activities of his Council Chairmen, who are either at logger heads with some Commissioners or with some members of the Interim Management Committees of the LGAs.
A few days ago in Owerri Municipal, mayhem and chaos were let loose as the IMC Chairman was accused to have unleashed thugs on a member of the IMC, which led to heavy fracas that tore peace the Municipal Council into shreds.
Before that, a Commissioner and IMC Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA were said to have ended up in a police station over a fight to control market.
This Newspaper was also told that a Commissioner used thugs to invade the Headquarter of Obowo Local Government Area, where the TC Chairman escaped through the window to save his life.
Sources told this Newspaper that the trouble was caused by funds released for the Okigwe Senate Seat, which was pocketed by an individual without putting the fund to what it was meant for.
Trumpeta was also told that the Governor was not comfortable with the clashes between some of the Government Parastatals in open, which was what caused the sack of ENTRACO officials from Imo Roads.
Following this legion of discrepancies, the Governor is said to be poised on removing and bringing in new faces to spice up his administration, without minding whose ox is gored.
With the News circulating for weeks now that the Governor may reshuffle his Executive, panic was said to have set in within the State Executive Council, as those whose names were involved in the various crisis have been gripped with sack fever.
“The Governor is not ready to look at faces. His focus is to serve Imo people.
No matter who you are, what concerns the Governor is your performance in his Executive. And for those who cannot control their Ministries and Parastatals, they should be prepared to leave” a competent source told Trumpeta.
A confirmation that Uzodinma will drop some of his Appointees was the reason he said every vehicle meant for any Ministry is not for the Commissioner, but the Ministry.
The Governor yesterday donated Jeeps to Ministries but said each of the Vehicles is for the particular Commissioner for the Ministry, who leaves the vehicle whenever he leaves office.
