Evang. Myke Ikoku has showered praises on members of the Action Alliance “AA” party in Imo State for their show of support and solidarity to the Party which was reflected in the massive votes the party received in the last Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Evang. Ikoku stated this while addressing party supporters who paid him a solidarity visit in his residence after the result of the governorship election was announced.

He said the number of votes the party got at the governorship election was a manifestation of the hardwork, commitment and resilience of party members, and a sign that the party has come to stay in the State.

“I have to tell all of you that I am proud of you. You truly proved your loyalty to our party on Saturday. I am aware that your decision to vote for Action Alliance in the governorship election was because of your confidence in my capability to offer good leadership to our State”, he said.

Evang. Ikoku who is contesting the removal of his name as the authentic candidate of the party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), told his supporters not to be discouraged by the outcome of the elections but to find encouragement in the performance of the party in the elections.

He said what is important now is for the court to determine who in the eyes of the law is the authentic candidate of the party. According to him, this determination by the court will go a long way in repositioning the party going forward.

Action Alliance “AA” came second in the Governorship and House of Assembly election in the State with Chief Nwosu as its candidate.

It will be recalled that Evang. Myke Ikoku in a suit No. How/19/2019, is challenging the unlawful deletion of his name as the lawfully nominated Action Alliance “AA” candidate for the 2019 governorship election in Imo State and replacing same with the name of the Son in-law to Governor Rochas Okorocha, Chief Uche Nwosu, and the matter is still pending in court before the last Saturday elections.
