A clash between supporter of AA and PDP occured in Imo State over the election results released by INEC which placed Emeka Ihedioha on the lead.
Our reporter observed that the supporters of Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance and Chief Emeka Ihedioha of Peoples Democratic Party are at each others throat.
The two groups according to eye witness account clashed on Portharcourt road, Owerri, near INEC office, on Monday afternoon.
The supporters of Uche Nwosu were physically seen with their placards showing that the PDP will lose but Ihedioha supporters who are mainly from Mbaise had earlier come in solidarity to their brother’s victory at the guber polls.
While Ihedioha’s supporters assembled in front of Immaculate Hotel, Uche Nwosu supporters were In front of Owerri Plaza Hotel that are few poles apart. The two groups clashed when misunderstanding came up between their so called leaders. The attack led to serious injuries which made the security agents to come in and separate them.
It was alleged that hoodlums have capitalized on the fight to harass innocent people and snatch them of their belongings.
Report has shown that several people in Imo State are living in perpetual fear because of the activities of hoodlums who is said to have now taken over the major streets of Owerri.
