Strong indications emerged yesterday that Senator Osita Izunaso has picked the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA Senatorial ticket for Orlu zone ahead 2019 election.
Unconfirmed reports have been going round Imo State that Izunaso who represented Imo West Senatorial District, eight years ago despite interest in reclaiming APC National Organizing Secretary job is eyeing APGA Orlu zone ticket.
Trumpeta had earlier reported of a hot romance between Izunaso and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume on one side and APGA.
In the process, Izunaso’s Chief of Staff, Denton Ogbuehi abandoned his House of Reps ambition for Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West for Orlu zone to run for APGA Senate primaries, which he easily got.
But as the substitution window ends, Trumpeta learnt that Ogbuehi has given way to Izunaso for the senate ticket.
Signs that Izunaso have taken over Orlu zone APGA ticket from Ogbuehi emerged yesterday when he hosted leaders of the party at Ohakpu. Information has it that the change of candidacy was formalized during the INEC window period allowed for substitution.
Party leaders of APGA in Orlu zone were spotted at the meeting at Ohakpu, Oru West LGA, where the Senator met with APGA faithful.
