Renowned industrialist and politician in Imo state Hon. Frank Adolphus has eulogized the sterling leadership Qualities of the immediate past Governor of the state. Chief Ikedi Ohakim describing him as the most peaceful and fatherly hearted governor Imo state has ever had.
In a chat with Imo Trumpeta shortly after his arrival from Switzerland, Hon Adolphus said that Chief Ohakim remains the most peaceful state Chief executive officer, emphasising that the ex governor after losing to APGA government at the Supreme Court Abuja, quietly retreated without causing undue troubles in the state.
According to him, despite all humiliations meted to the former governor during the 2011 governorship elections in the state, the Isiala-Mbano born former Chief executive officer of the state remained resolute, focused and dedicated to the enthronement of lasting true democracy in the state.
Adolphus however maintained that Imolites have witnessed the calibre of person in charge as governor and his cabinet in the present dispensation, describing the Gov Rochas Okorocha’s administration in Imo state as lawless, which according to him created a lot of puzzles in all sectors of the state’s economy.
Enumerating undemocratic developments orchestrated by Gov. Okorocha’s lack of respect for the rule of law, which includes the dissolution of the elected LGA authorities’ flippancies over the 10,000 job offer review, the hydra-headed handling of the Oguta state Assembly polls which saw the emergence of Sir Eugene Dibiagwu of the PDP as winner. He added that the inability of the Rochas Okorocha’s government via the Imo State House of Assembly to swear in Sir Dibiagwu is an indication that the present administration does not mean well for Imolites.
He further hinted that the ‘Area K’ land dispute, relocation of the Imo State University to an unauthorized place contrary to stipulation of the law, even as he stated that Rochas Okorocha’s government in Imo state is one characterized by insecurity of lives and properties of the citizenry.
Adolphus advised the governor to obey the common law informing that the law is no respecter of persons; hence he the governor was voted into the office by majority of Imo people.
He concluded that the lawless manner in which the state is governed by the present administration brews untold economic hardship.
