People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria (PDP) Governorship aspirant in Imo State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has reiterated that his ambition is a divine call to liberate Imo people.
Senator Anyanwu who spoke in Owerri explained that before his declaration to seek for the position of Governor through PDP, that the party was almost dead but his aspiration has reengineered it as of today.
Senator Anyanwu who said that he is confident to win the primaries of the party on the 28th of September 2018 maintained that with him as the candidate of his party that the Governorship is settled in Imo state.
He noted that having reached the highest echelon in legislative position, that he believes that he has gathered enough experience and exposure to Govern a state like Imo.
Anyanwu who warned against antagonism and hate speech said, “you cannot be fighting for me by casting aspersions but rather, let us be talking about issues “he maintained.
Senator Anyanwu who expressed confidence in winning the primaries of his party said, “I am very confident that history will be made very soon. I know the fight will be between PDP and APGA in Imo state. ”
Pointing out that all he is expecting and asking for is a free and fair primaries in PDP. According to him, Imo PDP is desirous of taking back Imo Government House in 2019.
He maintained that the die is cast as all the political parties are desirous of presenting their best Candidates which PDP is not left out.
While urging PDP delegates to support his aspiration, Senator Anyanwu appealed to journalists in the state to maintain decorum and neutrality in their reportage of political events within the state.
