A group of concerned indigenes of Ikeduru under the aegis of “The TF group” has expressed worry over the hatched impeachment plan of the Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere by Governor Rochas Okorocha through the Imo State House of Assembly.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the group, TF group recalled that when Governor Okorocha was looking for a platform in 2010 to run for Governorship, that he Okorocha coerced Chief Martin Agbaso who was the APGA leader as it were with the ploy that he will go for only one tenure.
“In his usual characteristics as a deceit and disappointment he planned and connived with others to oust his then Deputy Governor Sir Jude Agbaso”. Adding that the current plan on Eze Madumere is yet another time considering all the numerous promises he made to Madumere his beloved son in whom he is well pleased.
It is pertinent to note that Governor Okorocha suddenly remembered that Uche Nwosu is preferred. Carefully analyzing the whole situation above, one will agree that this is a calculated target against the Owerri man and the zone.
“We the TF group from Ikeduru Local Government vehemently rejects this Kangaroo impeachment threat he “Okorocha” and his house boys parading as Imo House of Assembly members are concocting”.
The group is therefore calling on all well meaning Owerri zone people and indeed Imo Indigenes to stand firm against this injustice.
Insisting that it is no longer an issue about the rascality and non-comformist of Governor Okorocha which has remained his trade mark.
TF group recalled how he “Okorocha” destroyed the first PDP office in Imo State in 1999 with his cohorts when he lost the primaries as well as his show of rascality when he lost to President Buhari in Presidential primaries in 2007 instead of being magnanimous in loosing.
Meanwhile, the attention of Barr. Humphrey Anumudu a frontline governorship hopeful in Imo State has been drawn to moves by the Imo State House of Assembly to impeach the deputy governor prince Ezeakonobi Madumere.
Barr. Humphrey Anumudu is also aware of the recent frosty political relationship existing between the Deputy Governor and the Governor Chief Rochas Okorocha due to 2019 political permutations and interests which manifested profoundly during their party APC congress.
Barr Humphrey Anumudu like every other rational Imo indigene believes vehemently that the impeachment harmer dangling on the Deputy Governor is politically motivated and has nothing to do with the sundry allegations leveled against the deputy governor by the State House of Assembly.
In view of the foregoing, Barr. Humphrey Anumudu condemns in strong terms the governor’s penchant to settle a slight political difference with impeachment. He therefore beckons on the State House of Assembly not to yield as tools for political vendetta and discontinue the impeachment moves.
A discontinuation of the impeachment moves .will not only create room for a mutual peaceful resolution among the two Imo leaders it will as well redeem the image of the lawmakers.
Finally, minor political differences should not be allowed to escalate to undeserved level as impeachment moves.
May God bless our dear state and grant Imo a Humphrey Anumudu government in 2019 an administration that will bring peace and place our dear state on the path of greatness.
