The crisis which has engulfed the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) over its authentic National Chairmanship will be put to rest today as the Supreme Court gives judgment in Abuja.
The crisis which is sequel to the adoption of Chief Agbaso by a group in the party became a matter of litigation following the challenge of that decision of some members of the National Working Committee of the party by Chief Oye.
It will be recalled that some members of the National working committee of APGA who allegedly claimed to have sacked the congress chairman OZONKPU Chief Dr Victor Oye, appointed (now) late OZO Nwabueze Okafor as a replacement to Chief Victor Oye.
Sequel to the demise of OZO Nwabueze Okafor, the group through an emergency National Convention in Owerri, Imo State adopted Chief Martin Agbaso as the substantive National Chairman.
Following the development and adoption of Chief Agbaso, Chief Victor Oye challenged the action in the High Court where he sought to render the action and adoption of Agbaso as illegal, null and void.
This Newspaper gathered that Chief Agbaso headed to the court where he secured an order of mandamus which was kwashed by Chief Victor Oye in an appeal thereby setting aside the earlier order of the High Court.
It is on these grounds that Chief Agbaso headed to the Supreme Court where he is asking the court to uphold him as the authentic National Chairman of the party.
After several months of judicial fireworks, the Supreme Court we have on good authority set aside today for its judgment which will hitherto put to rest the controversy over the authentic National Chairmanship of APGA,
