Okechukwu Nnadi Ononiwu Joins Okigwe South Fed. Constituency House of Reps Race

Dr. Okey Nnadi Ononiwu , a United Kingdom trained Medical Doctor  on Tuesday declared his interest to contest the Okigwe /South Federal Constituency seat under the platform of Labour Party (LP)  in 2019.

Speaking at press conference in Owerri, Imo State capital, the Ezeoke Nsu, Ehime Mbano – born medical consultant, explained that his going into the contest is to give the people of his constituency quality representation at the National Assembly in 2019.

He said with his wealth of experience as a Medical practitioner, and his meritorious service as a student Union President at the Ebonyi State University and as one who have travelled far and near, he has the prowess to manage the abundant human/natural resources of Okigwe South federal constituency for the benefit of the people.

While answering questions on his chances of winning the contest, Dr. Ononiwu who offered himself to serve in that capacity if given the ticket by his party LP assured that he would lobby and use the instruments of lawmaking to attract democracy dividends to his people, with special attention paid to, the empowerment of youths and women, as well as other critical infrastructures needed for the good of Okigwe South.

He said the current lawmaker representing, Ehime, Ihitte Uboma, Obowo Federal constituency has not done enough to attract dividend of democracy to his people, assuring he would certainly do better if elected.

While declaring his interest to run and achieve his political dream, Ononiwu said hence he had been doing a lot to improve their lot health wise as an individual, promising to do more if elected.

He further promised his constituency quality representation and empowerment, if voted into power. He urged all party stakeholders to continue to support the party.

According to him, “I promise to bring a positive change where the poor, youths and our women will be relevant. I have toured the world and am on ground. Bad governance and poor representation steamed my decision to join the race.

The time has come when men and women who can make law’s, govern people and committed to the contract and promises they made with the people to take over the affairs of our country.

It’s important our youths participate actively in politics. As a vibrant youth, I’m eminently qualified to represent the good people of Okigwe South. I have passion and love for our people and will sponsor bill that will protect not only the less privileged but will reflect the collective interest of the good people of Okigwe South.
