House of Assembly Aspirant; Obiodu vows to re-invigorate Onuimo

Onuimo State House of Assembly Aspirant, Chief Chuks Obiodu has spoken on the reason behind his declaration which according to him will herald an era of economic transformation.

The eminent grassroot mobilizer Chief Chuks Obiodu who recently declared his intention under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said his desire to run for the seat was born out of necessity and the need for effective representation in his Constituency, so as to ensure that issues of Onuimo, are properly presented in the State House of Assembly.

Chief Obiodu, worried by the travails experienced by his people, lamented the poor road network threatening the economy of Onuimo State Constituency, adding that the economy has been hampered by the absence of public facilities.

The outspoken and youthful community leader with positive pedigree of antecedence vowed to bring numerous issues militating against the development of Onuimo Local Government Area to the floor of the house without fear, if given the opportunity to serve come 2019.

Chief Obiodu said “I will be the voice of the voiceless in my Constituency by the Grace of God, I have the Capacity and Credibility based on my previous assignments. I believe I have the ability to perform effectively, I will make sure I have regular consultation with my people through constituency briefing, where issues concerning Onuimo State Constituency will be articulated and solution preferred.”

Speaking further, Chief Obiodu hinted that the state is plagued by shortage of policies capable of tackling the problem of unemployment, adding that youths in the state are finding it difficult to get good jobs, amidst the lingering problem of underpayment rocking various firms in the state.

Chief Obiodu also said that, the commercial activities in the state has been destroyed without proper alternative policies, reiterating that the absence of inclusive government, nonpayment of pensioners and slashing of salaries have affected the expected pace of development in the state.

The youthful community leader urged Imolites to see the Peoples Democratic Party PDP as the only solution to the present problem halting the development of Imo state. He maintained that too many candidates syndrome is an indicator that the present government is not doing well, in line with the beauty of democracy.

Chief Obiodu further maintained that there is no impurity in the present PDP, saying “if at the end of the day I couldn’t pick the ticket I will still remain in the party. He oblige Imolites to exercise their rights effectively so as to ameliorate the untold hardship experienced in the state, adding that the power to shape the political system lies on the hands of the people. He advised the people of Onuimo Local Government Area to Opt for credible leaders with clean records, instead of electing inactive representatives.
