People of Ejemekuru and Awa, suburb communities in Oguta Local Government Area, Imo State have expressed satisfaction towards the life changing programs of the Rescue Mission Government led by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
The two communities on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 were shut down in awe as the Deputy Chief Of Staff Operations to Imo State Government and Chairman Bureau for Lands, Survey, Housing and Urban Planning, Engr Uju Kingsley Chima, on behalf of the State Government commissioned the Ejemekuru Community School.
Trumpeta learnt that the school was built by the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ISOPADEC under the leadership of former Managing Director Prince Iyke Uwakwe, and commissioned under the incumbent MD, Hon Chidi Nwokotubo.
Earlier in his welcome address, the traditional ruler of Ejemekuru, HRH Eze Ngozi. Nwoye in appreciation of the laudable project praised the governor’s magnanimity and love towards the people of the area.
He also acknowledged the ISOPADEC for erecting such heart -warming edifice for studies which goes further in portraying the academic reformation in the area. Also, Eze Nwoye charged the State Government and the Commission on the electrification of the community which was immediately resolved.
The headmistress, and the President General of the community in their separate speeches respectively further expressed their joy and happiness for the new class room blocks, hence, they gave kudos to ISOPADEC for the actualization of the project.
The ISOPADEC Chairman, Engr. Bernard Iroegbu and the Managing Director, Hon. Chidi Nwokotubo assured the people of Ejemekuru that the issue of electricity in the community would soon be a thing of the past. They called on them to be more supportive of the Rescue Mission programs as more good tidings will be coming on their way for the development of the oil producing areas.
The community similarly described Kingsley Uju as a trail blazer in developmental strides whose mission and vision is targeted at the overall interest of the masses. However, they assured him of their unflinching support anytime, any day.
Responding on behalf of the governor, Owelle Okorocha, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima commended the people of Ejemekuru for the hospitality and support for the Rescue Mission Government. The commendations also went to the former MD Uwakwe for his zeal in building the school as well as Hon. Chidi Nwokotubo for the commissioning ceremony.
The workaholic Deputy Chief of Staff therefore who assured them that Rochas Okorocha’s government is determined in making life better for the citizenry further craved for massive support of people from the area.
As part of the itinerary, the DCOS entourage proceeded to Awa community where the electricity and water projects were flagged off amidst jubilation from residents of the area.
