Worried over the drama which has been unfolding over his Governorship ambition and the utterances of Governor Rochas Okorocha on the said matter, Deputy Governor Eze Madumere has lamented over what he described as betrayal by his Master, Okorocha.
Eze Madumere’s lamentation is coming on the heels of a statement credited to Governor Okorocha where he was quoted as saying that Eze Madumere should drop his Guber ambition for Uche Nwosu and plan for the Owerri senatorial contest.
According to Trumpeta investigation, the said statement jolted Eze Madumere who political pundits say has concluded arrangements to publicly declare for the Imo State Governorship contest in a fortnight.
Madumere who is said has vowed not to drop his ambition regretted that his boss, the Governor, would have thought of telling him to drop his ambition even when he is aware that the zoning balance in the State currently does not favour Orlu zone.
While seeing the alleged utterance of his boss as a betrayal of confidence, Eze Madumere, we gathered, has been reinforced by the action to prosecute his Governorship ambition with his structures in all the wards and Local Governments in the State.
