A group under the aegis of Imo Leaders Forum, Imo Equity Forum have Spoken in clear terms the ill treatment of the present administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha. Speaking in Owerri, the Coordinator of the union, Ezenwa Barr Kingsley Ononuju said that the group as a social political organization which stands for fairness, Justice and equity for good governance will not allow Orlu zone to take over the leadership of the state again come 2019.
He also stressed that the government of the day in the state has failed in its style of leadership as he said that the group will not stand and watch for a repeat of such thing in the state.
Barr. Ononuju added that the governor of the state has ruled the state without the critical pillars of good governance which would have made the state to move forward in terms of making good policies that could better the lives of Imo people.
He used the medium to urge and inform aspirants of Owerri zone extraction to come and identify with the union in other to bring fairness, justice and equity come 2019. As he stressed that something is needed to be done fast in other to recover the lost minds, as far as good governance is concern in the state.
Ezenwa Ononuju hinted that the leaders across the 27 LGAs has resolved to seek for aspirates who are well equipped to restore, deliver Imo to its rightful place and those who will imbibe the culture of principles of good governance, adding that the union have sympathy for Owerri zone aspirants.
He maintain that the union has sworn to push for restoration of Imo come 2019, adding that at the meeting a delegation of Destiny Organization indicated interest that their principal wants to visit the body to tell them about his manifesto for the 2019 general elections. As he noted that more of Owerri zone aspirants should come fast to avoid had I know.
Barr noted that the union has over 5,000 registered members all over the 27 LGAs, Wards in the state who are floridas that take their energies, time and money to support an aspirants who is strong, character to contest, money and who has made up his or her mind to run for any elective position, the person must be of leadership standard.
