It would be recalled that the mock – Nations cup has been an annual event that takes place at the original venue (Township primary school field) alongWetheral Roadfor the past six years. The championship was moved to Orji primary school as the former venue is currently undergoing a “Rescue Mission” renovation to meet the modern standard environment of education by His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
The competition which is organized by the office of the SA on Sports, Amb Kanu Nwankwo, has over the years celebrated the launching of its players to the Nigerian Premier League clubs and abroad. It is a competition that allows all manners of quality players locally or internationally to exhibit their skills and basically allow the locally based players gain much confidence playing with the professionals.
