Slain Father Osuagwu For Burial August 31st

The burial of late Rev Fr Dennis Osuagwu has been fixed to hold on Monday August 31, 2015 at the Claretian Institute, Nekede near Owerri.
The slain Claretian Catholic Priest who met his untimely death on Sunday August 16, 2015 was on his way to the 34 field Artillery brigade Obinze where he served as the Chaplain for the Sunday mass celebration.
Although security operatives in the state are yet to come up with an official report on their investigation on the matter, the story is that the Catholic Clergy man was gruesomely murdered around Avu-junction on the Owerri-PortHarcourt Road that fateful Sunday morning.
Rev. Fr Osuagwu, it would be recalled was a staff of the state owned Polytechnic Umuagwo until his death.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo Rev Fr Dr Wence Made (CMF) has consoled Umuagwo Poly Community over the death of Fr Dennis Osuagwu who was killed around Avu junction in Owerri West Local Government of Imo State.
Speaking to Newsmen in his office at Umuagwo Polytechnic, Fr Madu said that the mood of Imo Poly Community has changed since the death of Rev Fr Osuagwu broke out to students and management of the Institution.
Fr Madu described late Fr Osuagwu as a highly respected man of God who has paid his dues in the Christian Community and the Institution at large, adding that late Fr had put alot of energy in making sure that the students were properly trained in learning and in character as he was incharge of Students Industrial Work Scheme (SIWS).
He stressed that the Institution has taken faith in what happened believing that on the resurrection day they shall meet to part no more.
Fr Madu used the opportunity to call on individuals to report any strong movement going on in their localities as nobody knows what will happen and when it will happen, and commended the police in their work. He charged the media and other agencies to comply in making sure that the police protect the live of the citizens as he prayed God to protect his people from the hands of the enemy.
