Ogwuama Community Happy Over
Okorocha, Igbokwe’s Re-election

The re-election of the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha and that of the member representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency, Hon Nnanna Igbokwe have been commended by the people Ogwuama Autonomous Community in Ahiazu Mbaise.
In a statement by the Ogwuama leaders of thought it noted that Okorocha’s re-election was a pointer to the various developmental projects his administration embarked upon in the last four years. It singled out the people-oriented policies of the Okorocha government in the areas of roads, health and the innovation in the fourth tier of government which has brought government to the governed.
Above all, the leaders of thought underlined the vision of the government in moving the South-East region into the main street through the All Progressive Congress (APC), noting that the political strategy has helped a great deal in balancing the polity as Imo State, “will henceforth be the bride that will attract federal presence to the people of the South-East.
We have no doubt in our mind that the governor’s action though, vilified at the onset by a section of the people, has now been the stepping stone for power shifting to the region culminating in the election of a Nigeria President of Igbo extraction in future” they stated.
The leaders of thought advised the governor to draw closer to the people of Mbaise as electioneering is now over to build a state that will be the envy of Nigerians while soliciting for more Government presence in Mbaise, they noted that” for more government presence in Mbaise, though federal legislators elected from the state are majorly from the opposition party, the Governor must try to work with them to attract the desired developments as a tree cannot make a forest.
They said , “we have agreed with our son, Hon Igbokwe to align and work with the Governor because he is the only Mbaise son in the National Assembly”,
The Ogwuama leaders of thought felicitated with their son Hon Igbokwe for a victory well-merited and assured him that the Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency would support him with sound ideas to record feats more than ever before . they however advised him to devote more time to organize town-hall meetings so as to get acquainted with the needs of his constituency.
The statement signed by Mr Oguwike Nwachukwu, Chief Timothy Paul Okorocha and Chief Thomas Ohaeri , expressed confidence that Okorocha and Igbokwe in conjunction with the traditional ruler, HRH Eze Sabby Nwaneche, should fashion out developmental blue-print that would see the community transform from a sleepy village to a town in the next four years of their tenure; while urging the governor to involve the people of the area in his administration.
