In a rare show of solidarity, the leaders of Owerri Nchise community comprising of leaders of Umuororonjo, Umuoyima, Umuonyeche and Amawom have Unanimously adopted the incumbent member, House of Reps, Owerri Federal Constituency and PDP flag bearer, Hon. Ezenwa Francis Onyewuchi For the march 28 elections.
In a meeting which was held across party lines took place at the Ikenegbu residence of Chief Sam Oparaku (Stone) on Sunday 22nd march 2015. Speaking at the colourful occasion, Chief Analine Nwaneri applauded Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi for his giant strides and life changing projects in Owerri federal constituency and advised the people of “Owerre Nchise” on the need to reelect the performing Lawmaker. The former ISIEC commissioner described Hon. Onyewuchi as a brother who has performed excellently in his first tenure while moving the motion for Ezenwa’s endorsement by Owerri people. He maintained that Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi has been vocal, visible and strong on the floor of the house which is most important quality of a good legislator. He thanked the leaders of Owerri Nchise for coming en mass to endorse their own brother and urged them all to vote massively for PDP.
Supporting the motion, Chief P.C Nnawuchi the traditional prime minister of Owerri extolled the unique qualities of Ezenwa Onyewuchi and thanked him for the massive infrastructure he as attracted to Owerri municipality. Speaker, after speaker eulogized Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi and pledged their unhindered support. The meeting and subsequent endorsement of Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi witnessed notable leaders of Owerri municipality such as Chief Emma Odor (Present Owerri municipal chairman), Hon. Mike Ahumibe (Former SOLAD Owerri municipal), Hon. Stanley Anukam (Super star), Hon Eugene Njemanze, Prince Mature Njemanze, Chief Wille Amadi, Hon. Chief Clinton Amadi, Elder Okey Adiele, Hon. Felix Nnodim and a host of other leaders.
