Anglican Priest Fires Rochas Says His Tenure Has Expired

Following the unholy incident that disrupted the debate organized for Imo State governorship candidates by the Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) of the Owerri Archdiocese, with an alleged assault of Reverend Father Gerald Onyekwere, WIDONS and desecration of Church Alter by suspected thugs and aides of Gov Rochas Okorocha, an Anglican Priest, Rev. Josiah Ikpegbu has lashed the governor for having no regard and respect for the sacred house of God by Masterminding the onslaught. He wondered why the governor will be against the same platform that gave him the winning streak in 2011.
Rev Ikpegbu then intoned that “for this singular act his tenure has expired”. He also accused Rochas of over estimating himself even above the Church when he said in a certain church that “as a matter of his position as governor every church is under him the Priest revealed.
He maintained that the era of winning election through intimidation, and violence has past because the electorates have make or mar the ambition of any political office sector, which Okorocha is a candidate.
