Imo State Based Artistes (ISBA), over the weekend at Deo Juvante hotel in Owerri hosted its second season of unlimited fun and laughter through comedy and musical concert as they honoured Chief Henry Ekpe and Sir Kelechi Mejuobi, publishers of Trumpeta Newspaper.
Bestowing the honour on Chief Henry Ekpe at his office in Owerri, the organizers of the event “ISBA Day Of Laffta Season 2”, through its spokes man, Mr. Ugo Stevenson noted that the group found the duo of the Trumpeta Newspaper publisher worthy to be honoured at the event for their uncompromising, consistent effort through the media in supporting and projecting the entertainment industry in the State.
Mr. Ugo Stevenson encouraged them to continue without resilience in being a shining example to the State so as to promote local content through their best practices.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Henry Ekpe re-iterated his love and passion for journalism practice in the State and Nigeria as a whole going down memory lane his experiences in his early life journalism in Imo State till date.
He thanked the organizers of the event for conferring in him the “Art Patron Of ISBA” and for raising the flag of the entertainment industry in the State high through their concerted efforts.
Chief Henry Ekpe raised high hopes for ISBA future prospects and encouraged their efforts, “ I am very happy, for you people have made the entertainment industry very proud, I pray you all succeed from strength to strength as I will support ISBA through every means possible”, he concluded.
