OGUTA ASSEMBLY BYE – ELECTION – Who Wins Tomorrow? – PDP Or APGA Candidate?

The die is cast for tomorrows Imo House of Assembly bye – election taking place at Oguta constituency. Pundits predict that the fight is mainly between the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Walter Uzonwanne and Chief Dibia Agwu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Already, both parties are determined to grab the diadem, following reported rate of their preparations.

Till date, Oguta constituency has no representative in the 27 – man Imo House of Assembly following the inconclusive nature of the earlier election which took place last year, and therefore could not be announced in full by INEC.

In the result already released and adopted by the court, PDP is leading by almost eight thousand votes.

Tomorrow election would hold in the four remaining wards which were under contention by the parties.

While the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha leads the battle for APGA, Senator Hope Uzodinma and Hon Gerald Irona are said to be the pivot men for the PDP, including back – ground supports coming from the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim.

Political observers are of the opinion that the battle will not be easy for both APGA and PDP. But prediction favours the PDP who are already ahead with eight thousand votes.

But we all wait till after tomorrow to know who represents Oguta in the Imo House of Assembly this dispensation.
