Imo Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha has adopted a new method and strategy to consolidate power for his party APC.
Addressing Imolities during a town hall meeting which took place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) located along Bank road Owerri, the Governor disclosed that he will reward, communities with highest vote with big sum of money.
According to the Governor, any community that gives his party APC up to 75% votes will smile be home with N5m at the end of the 2015 election. He therefore urged communities in Imo to reciprocate his good gesture by voting for all his party’s candidates in the up coming election.
The Governor also hinted that any community that has not up to 5000 people population will not qualified to stand on its own as an autonomous adding that such communities may be merged with the sister ones for administrative conveniences.
He further hinted that his administration will not give room to corruption both at high and low places but however warned criminals to turn leaves, adding that black books have been given to all the traditional rulers to take record of all the bad boys as those who refused to change will be eliminated.
Some traditional rulers who spoke to our reporter said they will now embark on the operation flush out bad boys in their communities.
A source from Government House also revealed that the Governor has vowed to punish any traditional ruler who habours criminal in his place.
Further information revealed a traditional ruler of any community where crime is discovered will loose his crown without delay.
Our latest report disclosed that many notorious boys in the rural communities are now on the run in order to save their lives just as it is reported that criminal activities have reduced drastically in the rural communities as of now.
