SLAIN SPEAKERS AIDE: POLICE BEGIN MASSIVE ARREST.

 

In a bid to unravel those behind the recent slaughtering of the Special Adviser (Administration) to the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, late Pastor Emmanuel Adoba, men of the Nigeria Police, Imo State Command have arrested about six suspects.

Late Pastor Adoba was matcheted to death by unknown persons in his Okuku – Owerri – West home, last week after the suspected assailants gained entrance into the family house and tied every member of the house hold.

According to Trumpeta findings, security operatives swung into action and picked some suspects who are undergoing interrogations at the police headquarters. It was learnt that police moved into the area with several Toyota Hilux vehicles carrying enough security operatives.

After the raid, some suspects were apprehended and are helping police to conduct investigation into the matter. It was difficult to confirm the number of persons apprehended but the figure ranged from five to eight suspects.

When contacted for confirmation, the state police PRO, Vitalis Onugu, disclosed that it would be difficult to give account of the number since investigation on the case is an ongoing issue. “I cannot tell you the actual figure, police is investigating the matter. In the course of investigation, somebody can be arrested as a suspected, any body that has nothing to do with the matter shall be left off the hook, anybody found wanting will be charged to court,” the police spokesman added.

It will be recalled that Pastor Adoba and one of his Godsons Prince Albert Cyril Emeka narrowly escaped death earlier this year when he was first shot by unknown persons in his house.

Report has it that one of the prominent sons of the community who fled for safety includes the godson of late Pastor Adoba, Prince Emeka.

The report further indicates that Prince Albert Cyril Emeka who has been positioned to contest for the councillorship of the community in the next local government election in the state even as his where about is yet unknown.
