In the quest for effective and strong representation of the people of Oru West State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly come 2015 general elections, one of their sons vying for the said position, Chief Joseph Chukwuma Ikunna has been rated high as the most vibrant, qualified and erudite Aspirant to represent them in IMHA.
Fielding questions from people of the constituency, it was a known fact that before now the people have been living in misery, dejection and abject poverty because of lack of effective representation in the state Assembly, especially in the area of bad roads and infrastructural facilities which it was unanimously agreed would soon be a thing of the past if Oru West in general could cast all their votes in support of the Uzinaumu born philanthropist with peoples feeling at heart.
Also speaking, they attested that Chief Ikunna has all the prerequisites to be an Imo lawmaker, given his sound academic background and coming from a reputable home, having paid all his dues in the party, society and the people around him. With one voice the people insisted that they are only interested in seeing that he climbs the ladder as a legislator which is a stepping stone to repositioning the economic spheres of the area with his litany of experiences acquired long before now.
Similarly, some of the beneficiaries of Joseph Chukwuma Ikunna (JCI) foundation who spoke to Trumpeta expressed their overwhelming gratitude to God for blessing the constituency with such a person like Ikunna who has touched their lives positively with scholarships, empowerment and entrepreneurial skills which they said nobody has ever done, rather they have been subjected them to live like “flock without shepherd”.
Meanwhile, they unequivocally stated that Chief Joseph Ikunna came at the appropriate time when Oru West is in dire need of pragmatic and revolutionary fellow who can deliver at any point in time without playing on their wellbeing and interest. However, they left with resounding order to 2015 Assembly Aspirants from the constituency “to forget about the position as there is no vacancy where the good man is in the lead.
