Okenze Obinna Challenges Youths, As Peace Concert Holds In Imo

A new dimension has been introduced to the quest for peace and unity of Nigeria, as a prominent son of Imo state and Business mogul, Okenze Sylvester Obinna converged movie stars, musicians and football stars from every part of Nigeria to entertain a crowd of youths and other participants at a Concert/Rally held at the Dan Anyiam stadium Owerri on Wednesday.
The occasion which was graced by the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Youth Affairs, Comrade Jude Imagule witnessed the presence of all tribes of Nigerians, including Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Efik, Ibibio, Bini, Ishekiri, Tiv Idoma, Ijaw etc.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, the Convener, Okenze Obinna focused on the youths of Nigeria whom he said are the future of the Nation and therefore must strive to work for the peace and unity of Nigeria at all times.
The Ngor Okpala LGA born politician said he organized the Concert to use it as a platform to canvass for Nigerian peace, which he said is a pivot for any Nation that wants to develop.
He bemoaned the violence in Nigeria today and spoke against kidnappings, armed robbery and terrorism, pointing out that “We are here to tell our fellow country men and women that inspite of these challenges, our country will emerge stronger and more united”
He remembered early Nationalists like Nnamdi Azike, Aminu Kano, Obafemi Awolowo and others and challenged Nigerian youths to rise up to the occasion and build a better Nigeria devoid of ethnicism, terrorism and discrimination.
Okenze Obinna said “Every Nigerian has a role to play, by not allowing ourselves to become part of the violent minority being recruited by the political class bent on seeing the country broken”
He continued “It is important for us all to know that no part of this country, state, region or tribe can be successful on its own. We need each other”
The Business mogul commended President Goodluck Jonathan for reinvigorating Nigerian economy and reviving the Transport sector, Education, Massive employment, Sure-P etc.
He gave kudos to Jonathan for his consistency in fighting terrorism, adding that soon Nigeria will conquer her follies.
Also speaking, the SA Youths to the President, Comrade Jude Imagule said Nigerians need each other adding that only when Nigeria maximizes her potentials scattered all over the regions can the Nation be great, pointing out that each tribe in Nigeria needs one another for the peace, unity and greatness of Nigeria.
He urged Nigerians to support President Jonathan to tackle the Nation’s identified needs for all citizens to savour the potentials in Nigeria.
