Former Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Sir Emma Ohakim has hinted that 2015 general elections would be different from other elections held in Nigeria, as the usual manipulation of poll results would never happen again.
He disclosed this in a chat recently, while speaking on contemporary issues in Nigeria.
He noted that the eyes of Nigerians were opened in the 2011 general on the intrigues of election, adding that the manipulator of election results by against former governor Ikedi Ohakim have all tendered unreserved apologies and mended fences with Ohakim.
The former Chief of Staff further averred that Dr Ikedi Ohakim transformed Imo State into a modern city, which attracted productive investors in the state, adding that since the exit of the former governor, Imo People now know who is the real deceit.
He maintained that it was the persistent request and clarion call on the former governor by progressive Imolites, made Dr Ikedi Ohakim to opt to re-contest in the 2015 Imo guber election and further advised Imolites to resist politics of propaganda and campaign of calumny, which marred the 2011 governorship election in the state.
Sir Emma however averred that Dr Ohakim has good programme for Imo people and would derive Imo State to a perfect destination if given the mandate in 2015, adding that every nook and cranny would experience development.
He expressed confidence that Ikedi Ohakim would get the PDP governorship ticket during party primaries and enjoined all and sundry to join “Bring Back Ikedi Ohakim Project”.
He submitted that the hardship the government of Rochas Okorocha has inflicted on Imo State would be taken away in due cause “Ikedi Ohakim is coming to remove the hardship Imo people are facing due to poor and unplanned leadership, witnessed in the present administration in the state. And I call on Imolites to support true work”. He added.
