Oguta APC Stands Still As Ezenna Okoro, Goes For LGA Chairman

What looked like mother of all declarations in Oguta local government area took place at Awa Community Sunday 24th May 2014.
On that particular day, one of their illustrious sons, Hon Ezenna Okoro stood before a mammoth crowd to declare his intention to run for the council chairmanship seat in 2015. It was fantastic as people from all walk of life came to grace the occasion.
While presenting his declaration speech, Hon Ezenna Okoro advanced the course of humanity in his area and presented his seven point agenda which is in line with the Rescue Mission of Owelle Rochas Okorocha whom he described as his grand master.
The agenda includes job creation (via Agro based industries), youth/women empowerment. Rapid infrastructural development guarantee of security of lives and properties (rule of law) good health care delivery, open door and transparent administration. He also said that he will embark on the promotion of the cultural and traditional values of Awa Community.
All the village heads and ward leaders reacted positively as they promised to continue to give Hon Ezenna their full support.
They assured him that his dream to be the Oguta council boss must be realized, adding that APC is the only party that can guarantee equity, fairness, transparency and accountability.
They further told newsmen during an interview session that Hon Ezenna had paid his dues in the LGA and has made Awa community proud through his pedigree of dynamism and philanthropic disposition, as well as political sagacity. The ISOPADEC women who also graced the occasion described Ezenna as an epitome of humility justice and honesty.
Speaking, the chairman of the occasion, Dr Aaron Awuzie declared Hon. Ezenna Okoro as a gift to the people of Awa as he assured the people that power is going to be returned to them through the young man. The chairman who maintained that Hon Ezenna is the best among equals, however urged the people of Oguta to reciprocate his good gesture by voting him and his party (APC) into power during the election period adding that one good turn deserved another.
The party (APC) Local Government Chairman, Hon Casmir Ohamara in his speech advised Hon Ezenna not to relent efforts in his plan to give his community a face lift adding that his name has made way for him. “You have paid your dues in the community” the chairman said. The highlight of the occasion were exhibition of blessing and anointing of the aspirant by the whole party members after which they formally opened the campaign office.
