Nina Nwulu Joins House Of Assembly Race For Ohaji/Egbema Constituency

Trumpeta ace columnist and popular women rights activist. Mrs Nina Nwulu has swelled the number of aspirants seeking to run for the Imo State House of Assembly race.
Nwulu, who is married to Dr Vitalis Nwulu, a university Don, former political appointee to ex-Governor Achike Udenwa and political leader in the area made intention known when she briefed ward members of her ambition to speak the voice of Ohaji/Egbema in the House of Assembly.
At an elaborate programme to herald her entry into the race, Mrs Nwulu told her Awarra/Ikwerrede ward members that she has the capabilities and necessary legislative knowledge to represent the interest of her constituents.
Mrs Nwulu regretted that in the last three years Ohaji/Egbema has witnessed under representation forcing her to join the fray to possibly liberate her people with effective service delivery.
The mass mobilizer who also served as a Senior Special Assistant to the governor during Ikedi Ohakim era noted that she will use her wealth of experience in government procedure to give Ohaji/Egbema people the best if elected in 2015.
She said that it is the turn of the women folk to take the position after men have had their chances adding that her Awarra/Ikwerrede ward deserves the position. After years of marginalization in sharing political positions.
Several of the party leaders from the area, including the party chairman of the ward, Hon Nestor Ike, Chief Ken Ekwueme and Hon John Igwe in their separate speeches backed her ambition by stating that she stands tall among other aspirants to give Ohaji/Egbema people what they want in the state assembly.
Several women groups who were part of declaration ceremony unanimously passed vote of confidence and pledged to support her in the venture.
