Wickedness: Kidnapped Female Lawyer Loses Pregnancy In Imo

The kidnap of an Owerri base female lawyer Barr (Mrs) Akunna Onuchukwu up bringing sorrow and pain to her family as the victim lost her early pregnancy upon release, including the alleged huge amount of money they paid as ransom, however they still thank God for the life of the lady lawyer
According to a source close to the victim, the abduction n took place around 7:30 pm on that fateful 25th day of May 2014, as Mrs Onuchukwu was returning from a function with her husband, when a group of young men who had been discussing with a man stopped the couple and dragged the lady lawyer into their parked green Camry Car shooting in the air before zooming off. Speaking further, the source, said that the victim believed that she was taken to an uncompleted building some where in Ulakwo but where the felt that they security agent was on their heels, they relocated her to a nearby bush, where she was tortured and threatened over a suit which she is handling as counsel.
It was disclosed that the lawyer was released after one week from the kidnappers den, at the payment of a huge ransom by her family. The story also has it that she was blind- folded and dropped off at a refuse dump in Ulakwo and security patrol found her and took her to hospital, where she was revived but due to a week long torture and beating on her stomach she was diagnosed to have lost her pregnancy.
However, mouth have started wagging on an alleged fowl play on the abduction/kidnap incident as he was seen earlier discussing with the kidnappers minutes before they struck, and the threat, interrogation and torture the lawyer received for being a counsel in the said suit.
Meanwhile, the incident was confirmed by the PPRO Imo state Police Command Mr Enwerem Andrew (DSP), who also revealed how the anti kidnapping squad of the command intervened and facilitated her release. He averred that some suspects have been apprehended and that they are undergoing interrogations to ascertain their involvement and to get more information.
