A man who claims to b a prophet is now cooling off in the custody of security net for allegedly defiling a one and half year old child at Umuagwu, Umuguma in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
The man, aged 35 who claims to be a prophet gave his name as Emma Echeka from Inyishi in Ikeduru local government area of Imo state. According to sources, the suspected randy Prophet was caught red handed having canal knowledge of the one year child kept under his custody. The mother of the baby (names withheld) who is a neighbor kept the little baby under the Prophet’s care for an errand.
The prophet according to eye witness was arrested by a member of Imo Security watch named Kelechukwu Okorie for the alleged offence.
The accused during the course of interrogation confessed that he actually used his private organ on the private part of the little baby adding that said it was the handiwork of the devil. He pleaded with the law enforcement agency and government to forgive him “It is the devil’s work I didn’t know what I was doing”, the prophet pleaded.
Speaking further to Trumpeta reporter, the self acclaimed man of God disclosed that he is one of the disengaged workers from Abia State adding that the mother of the little baby gave him accommodation when his blood sister rejected him.
He however begged the parents of the little baby to forgive him for being ungrateful to them promising that he will never go back to such dirty life again. Mr. Alloy Ibe, father of the little baby in his reaction expressed shock over the action of Mr. Emma.
He revealed that his wife had complained of Emma but he never believed he could do such a thing “till today when he was caught red handed defiling My little baby”, the man cried out.
The mother of the little baby has earlier explained that starting from her most senior girl who is 6yrs old, 2nd daughter who is 4yrs and this last one who is not up to 2yrs have been uselessed by Emma the fake prophet.
The woman narrated that Emma was sent out by his sister who happened to be a neighour and out of pity she accepted Emma on the pretext that he was a man of God.
According to the woman, she entrusted many things in his care and left several things not knowing that the man is a cheat.
She narrated that her first daughter complain to her of Emma’s action on her and she ignored it, the 2nd daughter who is 2yrs old also complained and after that she started sensing danger but her husband did not believe that the man of God called Emma can play such game.
According to the woman, luck ran against him when she took her children to school living only the last born with Emma.
She said on coming back from the school run she noticed that the whole doors in the house have been locked inside. While she peeped through an opening, she saw Emma in nude state, making love with the little baby and the baby crying and shouting, at that point, she forced the door open and held Emma who started begging and confessing. Thereafter, security agents, who had been alerted stormed the place and arrested Emma.
Further investigation revealed that the man was sent out of his village Inyish for allegedly defiling little children many years back.
Some women who came to the scene laid cause on him for being so wicked on the little child. Imo Security Network (ISN) who actually came to rescue the situation through their SA to the Governor in security Hon Ugochukwu Onyeukwu confirmed the story and promised to get to the root of the matter.
Hon Onyekwu, assured Imolites that the ISN will continue to complement the efforts of the police by making sure that criminals are dealt with adding that Imo is no longer safe for criminals.
He warned young ones to stay out of trouble, revealing that his boys have swung into action to deal with miscreants.
