Member representing Ikeduru State Assembly in the Imo State House of Assembly Hon Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Sam Daddy) has said he is the candidate to beat in the 2015 election.
The ranking lawmaker credited with several motions and Bills since he stepped into the hallowed chamber of the Imo state seven years ago, says he has brighter chances of representing the interest of the people of Owerri East in the National Assembly come next year.
Anyanwu who is running under PDP platform and rich legislative pedigree ahead other challengers for the position. The years the lawmaker pent in Imo Assembly earned him with the necessary tool to be qualified to vie for the position.
As a ranking lawmaker of the state Assembly, Anyanwu may not be a bench warmer or a visitor to the Red chamber of the Senate without making a case for the people of Owerri zone which he has done for Ikeduru state constituency.
At an interactive session with newsmen at the weekend, Anyanwu did not hide intention to make his dream of providing for Owerri people if given the mandate to be in Abuja stating that he has burning desire to serve the masses which he has done in the past.
Anyanwu paid glowing tributes to a revered and prominent politician in the state, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, adding that the Ahaejiajamba is a role model he has political and filial relationship starting from his late father who was a politician.
Hon. Samdaddy Anyanwu as a house committee chairman on commerce and industry moved the bill that established the present Naze and Umunyeliugo Mbieri industrial market. He sponsored the bill to relocate all street traders to the present Relief market.
Samdaddy was the ad-hoc Committee Chairman that passed the bill to establish a special school for the blind.
He pass the bill on the establishment of the Consumer Protection Council.
The bill on the amendment of the Imo State Local Government law to provide for the establishment of Legal Departments in all the 27 LGAs in the State was also sponsored by Samdaddy.
He moved the motion urging Shell Petroleum to develop an International Tourist Centre at Iho, Ikeduru.
The motion urging the State government to develop a Tourist Centre at the Oranmiriukwa Mbaa River Confluence at Avuvu.
A motion urging the State government to Provide basic infrastructures to the relocated traders at Naze timber and allied Market Hon Samdaddy, relying on his ingenuity, perfect hardworking, years of experience, tested, balance, Stability, intelligence, humility, fearless and respectful law marker is the best choice for Senate Owerri Zone.
