Ojinere Begins Guber Bid, Consults Owerri Zone, PDP

As campaign for 2015 general election draws nearer, an aspirant for Imo state’s Douglas House in 2015, Engr Emma Ojinere, stormed the Owerri PDP zonal secretariat along Port Harcourt road, Owerri on Friday 16th May 2015, with his supporters to officially consult the zone to support him on his governorship aspiration to run in 2015.
The gubernatorial, aspirant, who reminded them that since 1999 when he joined PDP, he has been playing active role through financial assistance to the party and otherwise, adding that, “my mission to visit Owerri zonal PDP is to tell the zone that I am revalidating my interest to run for Imo state governorship seat in 2015. So I solicit your support and encouragement to enable me actualize this noble project of being Imo governorship in 2105.
He thanked Imo PDP, particularly Owerri zone for attending his late father’s funeral, adding that he has the quality and pedigree to become the governor of Imo state in 2015, having exhibited philanthropic disposition to the indigent people of Mbaise in particular and state in general.
The Ahiazu Mbaise born business mogul while appreciating those who have been lending credence to his political aspiration over the years promised the people of Imo state that he would carry everybody along in the scheme of things if elected in 2015.
Responding to Ojinere’s on his consultation visit to PDP, Owerri zone, the PDP zonal chairman of Gen. Roland Ogbonna (retired) encouraged him to be courageous while pursuing his aspiration. He described him as a good gentleman whose sterling public image was high, worthy to be emulated and commendable adding that PDP will only elect, and not select or impose candidates for people to avoid past mistakes which deprived the party of the governorship seat in 2011.
In their speeches the woman leader, Engr Emma Ojinere campaign organization, and an officer of Ahiazu Mbaise local government, Hon Mrs Maureen Osuagwu and Chief AC Agwamba urged Imolites to partner with Emma Ojinere and elect him as the governor of the state in 2015, so that true dividends of democratic and fairness in governance will be the hallmark of the state for better Imo state.
Highlight on the occasion was a special prayer session led by Engineer Emma Ojinere during which he prayed God to speedily intervene in the release of the Chibok girls.
