What looks like hope for the economically and politically neglected youths of Ideato federal constituency is underway as a national assembly seat aspirant for Ideato North and South has declared that the emancipation of the youth from the human made dungeon which they found themselves.
Speaking to news men at the Umuobom ward PDP rally recently, Hon Kingsley Bob Obiagwu bemoaned the plight of the youths of Umuobom and Nigeria in general submitting that the emancipation of the economically and politically voiceless, neglected and frustrated youths of Ideato Federal Constituency triggered his ambition to aspire for the NASS seat to bring the needed change for the youths and their parents.
Hon Obiagwu averred that with his exposure and experience in Western democracy the federal constituency of Ideato is in for better dividend of democracy if voted in 2015.
He submitted that the youth should not be totally blamed for indulging in crime as most of them were pushed into such act by the insensitivity of the government and their constituency representatives. He went further to say that it is a shame if people like him hails from the federal constituency yet allow the likes of the incumbent NASS member represent the constituency.
The NASS hopeful, extolled the Peoples Democratic Party as the only people oriented party, as he lauded the current restructuring in the party and resolution to let the people chose their representative from ward to the national level both in primaries and election proper. He however stated that members should let the best win with or without money.
It will be recalled that the zoning system adopted by the Ideato North and South Federal constituency PDP favours the South in 2015.
