t was massive jubilation across Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, Imo State as one of their illustrious sons, Chief Ibe Franklin Chukwuemeka (Onwa Mbano) joined the race for the chairmanship position of the LGA.
Youths of the LGA went wild with celebration when the news broke out that Chukwuemeka, who has been under pressure from teeming youths of Isiala Mbano, to join the race, has finally bowed to the general consensus of his people.
Chief Ibe Chukwuemeka, a former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has since joined the All Progressive Congress, APC, under which platform he is prosecuting the chairmanship election, which comes in a few months time in the state.
A business mogul, Chukwuemeka hails from Umuozu Ugiri, in Isiala Mbano LGA and is a devout Christian, married with children.
One of the leading youths in Isiala Mbano who spoke to Trumpeta said that Isiala Mbano needs a good character that can change the face of the LGA, adding that Chukwuemeka has sterling qualities that are impeccable.
Speaking to Trumpeta on phone, Chief Ibe Franklin Chukwuemeka confirmed to this Newspaper that he has joined the LGA chairmanship race.
“Yes. You are correct. I have joined the race and have even picked my form” he disclosed.
The chairmanship hopeful said he joined APC because Governor Rochas Okorocha has surprised Imo people by proving that despite the meager funds that trickle into the state, with a focused leader like Okorocha, things can be done, and done well.
