Weep Not, Anumudu Tells LGA Chairmen, Councillors, Ex- Appointees

Anumudu
A Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria PDP Governorship aspirant Barrister Humphrey Anumudu has assured the dissolved Local Government Chairmen, Councilors, Co-ordinators and members of the Development Centres as well as all former political office holders of prompt payment of their entitlements if elected into power.
In a telephone chart with our reporter, Barrister Anumudu regretted that three years after assumption of office by Owelle Rochas Okorocha, he has been unable to pay these Imo citizens who served the state in various capacities their due entitlements.
According to him, “You see, it is very amazing that a responsible government can refuse to pay past political office holders who are equally indigenes of the state their statutory entitlements after you dissolved them”.
Anumudu explained that why the development is painful is that the affected citizens did not serve the former Governor of the state but rather their state and fatherland. He pointed out that the continued refusal of Governor Okorocha’s administration to pay these group of people is condemnable and amounts to callousness.
While pleading with the victims of the action to be patient, Barrister Anumudu insisted that their payment will be made his first priority if elected as the Governor of the state by 2015.
He said that Imo state PDP is very determined to wrestle power from Governor Okorocha in 2015 so as to be able to correct most of the anomalies and misplaced priorities of the present administration.
“I was personally touched when I was told that all the past political office holders during Governor Ikedi Ohakim’s administration have not been paid their statutory entitlements till date. That is unfair because there is no justification by the present administration to withhold such payments”
