Commercial activities were paralyzed in Orlu Zone with a protracted \raff\c gridlock when women from various communities in Orlu Zone and beyond stormed the century home of Chief Felix Idiga at Amaifeke to register their support forms register their support for his return to PDP.
Idiga a Frontline Senatorial aspirant from the Imo West senatorial, the same Zone with Imo State Governor Owelle Anayo Okorocha eyeing the seat under the platform of APC party few days ago turned his back to PDP to return.
The development is seriously shaking Orlu Zone negatively and positively in the sense that the governor had swung into action, shortly after the rumored return was turned into a breaking news. Observation should that in less than 48 homes Idiga dumped the APC its leadership in the state quickly organized a stakeholders meeting to reoganise the party.
Our reporter who witnessed the show of solidity revealed that from Banana Junction in Orlu to Idiga’s palatial home women in their thousands blocked every available space on the road singing “up PDP down’ APC with a shout of joy that finally the only force to reckon with in APC has dumped the party they described as Muslim .
One of the women Mrs. Geraldine Udoha who granted interview to our reporter said ‘we thank God that finally Chief Idiga has discovered that there is no road in APC in Igbo land and returned to the right political party. We shall sacrifice spirit, soul and body to support his senatorial ambition”.
She described Idiga as a man of positive influence and strong actions with discipline, integrity, morality and transparency, as his sound leadership qualities. Information made available to our reporter by the Special Assistant (SA) to Jafac on media Media Comrade Chuks Nwokeji, revealed that the show of solidarity was a convergence of market women, PDP members in Orlu Zone some members of National Council of women Society and members of over 50 women
