Okorocha Describes Imo Lawmaker, Okemili As His “Prodigal Son”

The tour of Local Government Areas LGAs in Imo State by Governor Rochas Okorocha to ascertain level of road and other projects embarked upon by the present administrations is opening up certain revelations and character traits of number one citizen of the state.
Another drama was witnessed in Oru East local government when the Rescue Mission train piloted by Okorocha berthed at Omuma, the council headquarters.
At the event, the governor indirectly fired missiles the ousted member representing the area in the House of Assembly, Hon Grey Okemili. In the full glare of the people of the area and governor’s entourage seated at the event, Okorocha described Okemili as “his prodigal” son.
The ascertain was made during the governor’s speech while acknowledging presence of notable dignitaries at the Town Hall event. While trying to make public the names of his political associates in Oru East, Okorocha reportedly used the words even when Okemili was present and also seated behind him.
Okorocha started his opening speech by recognizing the likes of Emma Ogbenta who was the chairman of the campaign council in 2011 governorship election, ex-TC chairman, Igboanusi, former commissioner for Transport, Nelson Ezerioha, Prince Lasbery Okafor Anyanwu and Nich Ben Onwumere before he paused to continue his speech.
The governor after a while moved on to say that he recognized another powerful strong element who ensured he won in Oru West “talking about Hon Okemili, though he is a prodigal son, but still my son, I want to recognize him”.
The governor used the occasion to express misgiving over the attitude of contractors who eloped after receiving various amounts of money for road projects.
