The commissioner for works, Ichie Uche Mbanaso has urged the people of Isu clan in Orlu local Government Area to support the government of Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Ichie Mbanaso who made the appeal while addressing members of the Isu Clan Political Forum on the occasion of their meeting at the residence of Chief Herbert Nnadi of Umuowa in Orlu LGA revealed that this government means so well for the people of the area.
The commissioner who was the first Mayor of Orlu and former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry stated that the meeting which was purely for elites was a political gathering of Isu people to deliberate and think about the way forward adding that since the history of Orlu and Imo State, the people have not had it so well.
He maintained that the achievements of the governor in Isu Clan include the Orlu Stadium, International market, mayoral office and current dualization of the road pointing out that this Christmas, the people of the area will see new achievements in Isu Clan after the road dualization.
Also speaking, the former Sole Administrator, Orlu LGA, Barr Hyacinth Mbachu extolled Governor Okorocha for his wonderful administration in ensuring equity and fairness in the distribution of the state resources and appealed to the people of the state to popularize his administration especially the free education programme.
Barr Mbachu also urged the people of Isu Clan to unite and make proclamation for their stand stressing that if they do not organize themselves well, they may miss both the State and National Assembly seats.
In his remarks, Chief Barr Gerald Okorie of Isu Clan decried lack of communication between the government and the led adding that representatives of the governor should do the communication and spread the good news of the governor throughout the state and emphasized the need for unity among members of Isu Clan to enable them achieve their aim.
Speaking to newsmen after the occasion, the convener, Chief Herbert Nnadi of Shipping Services noted that the meeting is for them to support the governor for embarking on projects which some hardworking world well known personalities had not done for instance his free education and advised Imo people to exercise patience while the governor completes about one thousand projects he is embarking on and always work towards moving the state forward.
