Despite Political uproar instituted by some analysts as Mr President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan officially visited Owerri, the Imo State Capital in few weeks ago, the members of Dr Sylvester Obioma Agomuoh organization 2015 and his widows, physically challenged persons and orphans Relief Foundation have enumerated vital reasons why president Jonathan should aspire for second tenure in the office come 2015.
The die-hard supporters of Dr Agomuoh who is also aspiring to become the number one citizen of Imo state under Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) platform expressed happiness with people from all walks of life who came to receive Mr president at Dan Ayiam stadium Owerri.
Speaking with newsmen, the leader of the delegation and Director General of Dr Agomuoh organization, 2015, Chief Emeka Nwoko, noted that his team as matter of fact has acknowledged the qualitative leadership style of Dr Goodluck Jonthan.
Hon Chief Nwoko highlighted the achievements of President Jonathan to include; eradication of abject poverty in all parts of the country through Sure-P, total transformation in every sector, viable infrastructural development among other giants achievements.
He further described the event as a unity purpose that has injected fresh blood into the People Democratic Party (PDP) Imo state chapter, adding that his team has endorsed President Jonathan for second tenure.
The coordinator of Dr Obioma Agomuoh’s widows physically, challenged persons and orphans relief Foundation, Ambassador Crossbi Ukachi Opara stated that President Jonathan’s visit to Imo state has reaffirmed the People Democratic Party PDP, in the Imo state.
Amb. Ukachi noted that the turnout for the event indicates wide acceptance of Dr Jonathan in Imo state and the waxing weight of People’s Democratic Party all over the country.
In his speech, the chairman of PDP in Ogbe ward, Ahiazu Mbaise, Mr Vita Nwodu reiterated that the arrival of Mr President in Imo state has given hope to the party in the state that lead its victory in future in the state.
“The population at the stadium was so intimidating that Dan Anyiam stadium could not accommodate the crowd. From Fire Service bus stop down to Wetheral roundabout was filled.
This is first in history since existence of Imo state”, he lamented.
Mr Nwodu described Dr Agomuoh as an illustrious son of Amorji, Ogbe, Ahiazu Mbaise who had contributed to development of the area and PDP in particular.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the National Working Committee of the PDP Sensitization and Unity Rally, Senator Hope Uzodimma expressed optimism over turnout for the event describing different groups and organizations as clear indication of good governance of PDP in the country.
