The action of the Owerri capital development authority (OCDA) in destroying the house of God has been described as sacrilege and act of the anti Christ.
Speaking to Journalists Tuesday at the demolished church building in Irete Owerri West LGA of Imo State, the General Overseer of Strong Tower Biblical Believers Church, Rev. Joshua Okenwa said that Ohakim’s administration was alleged to have flogged a priest but Okorocha’s administration has dealt with God himself.
According to him, OCDA is like the philistines, the enemies of God and the anti Christ that still want to crucify God by destroying his temple.
Rev. Okenwa who is the chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Owerri West Chapter, frowned that government agency who are supposed to be the watchdog is now law breaker and wondered why his property should be demolished without being given notice, adding that he was not allowed to see the OCDA general manager when he visited the office after the incident.
Meanwhile he ascertained that if the issue in not properly addressed he will ensure that he drags OCDA to Supreme Court.
He also maintained that the Church was not illegally built and wondered how some one would demolish a building properly erected.
The Cleric pointed out that he lost property worth over N50 million due to the demolition as he urged the governor, Owelle Okorocha, Rescue Mission government to investigate on the matter to ensure that those involve are brought to justice or face the wrath of God.
Meanwhile, the General Manger of OCDA, Town Planner Iheanyi Abaekwueme told Trumpeta that OCDA was met aware of the demolition, pointing out that OCDA cannot pull down any structure except it is illegally erected, and that is after all due process have been exhausted.
