A Special Adviser to the governor of Imo State on Due Process in the past administration, a member of Nigeria Vision 20-20-20 and a frontline technocrat turned politician in the state, Barr Cyril Anyanwu has thrown his weight behind the crusade of Mbaise Forum led by Dr Iyke Njoku, Mma-Agha, on the need for an Mbaise son/daughter to be elected the governor of Imo State come 2015.
He gave his backing recently at his home town of Aguneze Ahiazu Mbaise when the leadership of Mbaise Forum paid him a courtesy visit. The forum called on all Mbaise people to forget what is behind and do their best to reach what is ahead, an Mbaise person to be governor in Imo come 2015. Dr Njoku said Mbaise Forum has been going around consulting and mobilizing well meaning individuals and groups on the need to key into the vision and mission of the group.
Anyanwu in his reaction thanked the forum for their vision which he said is in line with his lifestyle as a man who believes in Mbaisenees and their interest. He charged the Forum to sensitize Mbaise not to accept any other office except the governorship. He also advised the Forum to sensitize the people to shun blackmail of the Mbaise leaders and aspirants as an insult to one aspirant is an insult on the entire Mbaise. He assured Mbaise Forum of his support to their vision of ensuring that Mbaise man gets to Douglas House in 2015 as Governor. The Forum had the opportunity of addressing a mammoth crowd of Mbaise people at Anyanwu’s residence, who came to show solidarity to their leader,
Responding on behalf of Aguneze people, Mr Onyeocha Bartholomew asked Mbaise Forum to carry go as the ordinary people are more eager for Mbaise man to be governor than even the politicians could imagine.
