Okorocha’s Parting Gift To Ndi Imo

Since May 2012 Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been at the Douglas House, Owerri otherwise known as the Government House and Seat of Power.
And right from the first day he stepped into the office, Owelle Rochas Okorocha did not hesitate to tell every Imo citizen and those who cared to hear that he has come to Rescue the state from bad administrations in the past.
Perhaps because of this zeal, the Governor went ahead to make it clear to all and sundry that he is in a hurry to make a difference in the entire landscape of Imo State.
Working on the premise, Governor Okorocha started with a lot of construction and rehabilitation work within the three geo-political zones of the state.
This could be felt through re-surfacing of some bad tarred roads, opening of new ones both at the capital and local government levels, construction of round abouts, among others.
However, stories were told in between this process which ranged from default by contractors and government at different points to obstructions occasioned by the rains and other natural occurrences.
Be that as it may, it is instructive at this point to remind the Governor that time is tickling away as we enter 2014 ahead of 2015.
And while this time tickles, most of these laudable projects especially the rural road constructions are yet to be realized. Whatever the reasons are is immaterial as the end always justifies the means.
The people of the state are anxiously waiting for the full realization of the ongoing road projects scattered in all the local governments of the state from their rescuer who told them that he is in a hurry to make a difference.
It will be full heady to score the Governor in this write up over his performance even as he still has some more time before full injury time. The truth of the matter is that we have had Governor Rochas Okorocha who governed the state between 2011 till 2015 and made his marks.
Whether the marks he made is meaningful or meaningless is another kettle of tea entirely. But one thing which is important to Ndi Imo at this auspicious time is a parting gift from their Governor at the end of the day.
It is therefore instructive to advice the Governor to rather than focus on new projects this time around to consider concluding all the ongoing projects which his administration has embarked upon. And by so doing he will be leaving some legacies behind for posterity.
Suffice it to say that the worse parting gift which Governor Okorocha can give to his people is a litany of abandoned and uncompleted projects especially in the road sector.

Gov Okorocha Is Tricky Presidential Ambition
Owelle Ndi Igbo, Rochas Anayo Okorocha is free constitutionally to have a presidential ambition and pursue same like any other Nigerian. However ,His Excellency is advised not to pursue his Presidential ambition at this time, it will clash with the 2nd term ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan GCFR, your bosom friend whereas it is obvious majority of Ndi Igbo are poised to support Mr President for the 2nd time and term. Without being sycophantic and timid, I am markedly advising you to seek re-election as governor or go for senate. Those sing praising and encouraging you from the North to contest the Presidency against President Jonathan are not sincere with you and they know very well you can not win and they don’t want you to even win, they only want to use you as a SPOILER TOOL against President Jonathan to serve and promote the North’s desperation to clinch power once more. Any of your closets from south East, Imo state and your local government who is advising and encouraging you to contest Presidential election in 2015 are either afraid to tell you the truth or simply being sycophantic and deceptive, they are those who only want you to contest the Presidency so that they can have the way and chances to contest Governorship with APC ticket and these are people who can not win election in their local government. APC is not configured for an Igbo man to pursue his Presidential ambition in 2015 or any other time soon, the party is configured from onset to pursue the Presidential ambition of Gen Mohammed Buhari though a doomed dream and the special political and economic interest of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and the propaganda drumstick to bring President Jonathan down which also will fail woefully at the end. APC is a stigma in South East take it or leave it. APC will soon snowball into crisis worse than that of PDP and the management of this crisis will be devastating. The APC crisis has started in Ogun state and will spread to more state. APC is not grounded in majority of the states to win a Presidential election. The best APC can do is to win the governorship of many states in south west and few in the north which can not stop PDP from wining the Presidential election. PDP will not lose any state in the entire South East and South South on the Presidential election. Gov Amaechi will woefully fail to deliver rivers state to APC when the chips are down. In Imo state APC is not on ground as a political party but there are people following the person of Owelle Rochas Okorocha in spirit and it is only the person of Owelle who can be a threat to any PDP candidate for governorship if the person of Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha will be WISE to seek re-election as governor! God bless Owelle, Imo state, President Jonathan and NIGERIA.
